The display features LEGO buildings and scenes of Colorado â past and future â like an archeological dig and skyscrapers. There is also an area to build your own creations! The Western Museum of Mining and Industry is a private, nonprofit museum founded in 1970. We educate over 8,000 school children a year on the importance of mining in the American west. We offer public tours at 10:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. We are located at I-25 North Gate Blvd., which is easily accessible from I-25 (Gleneagle exit, #156A).
